A woman identified as Nimotalahi Folashade, weekend, plunged into Lagos lagoon.
It was gathered that Folashade boarded a boat at Isuti Jet, along Isuti Road, Igando, destined for Totowu, Ogun State, with 11 other passengers .
She was said to have suddenly jumped into the river
One of the passengers in the boat identified simply as Rasak, was said to have alerted policemen at the Igando police division.
According to Rasak, "She boarded a boat from Isuti Jetty, Isuti Road, Igando, Lagos, heading to Totowu in Ogun State with 11 passengers on board, on Saturday, March 9, 2024.
"Suddenly, she removed the life jacket she was wearing and jumped into the river. She left behind a nylon bag containing a bottle of insecticide , an Alimosho General Hospital card and some drugs."
Confirming the incident, Lagos State Public Relations Officer SP Benjamin Hundeyin stated, "detectives from the Igando Division visited the scene of the incident. A search party has been contacted to recover the corpse. The investigation is ongoing, and efforts are underway to contact her family."
