Ramadan: Extend compassion, kindness to the needy, Daniel tells Muslims

The Senator, representing Ogun East Senatorial District, Senator Gbenga Daniel, has called on Muslims in Nigeria to use the opportunity of this year's Ramadan to reflect on their deeds, strengthen bonds of brotherhood, and extend compassion and kindness to those in need.

Senator Daniel, who made the call in his greetings to Islamic faithful in the country on this year's Ramadan, that begins on Monday, expressed his "sincere prayers for peace, prosperity, and spiritual fulfillment for all Muslims observing the Ramadan.

He said, "Ramadan is a time of reflection, spiritual growth, and communal solidarity which holds profound significance for believers around the world."

"As we embark on the blessed month of Ramadan, I extend my heartfelt wishes to all Muslims across Nigeria," he said.

"May this holy month bring peace, blessings, and spiritual rejuvenation to you and your families. Let us use this opportunity to reflect on our deeds, strengthen our bonds of brotherhood, and extend compassion and kindness to those in need."

Senator Daniel also emphasized the importance of unity and solidarity, urging Nigerians of all faiths to come together in mutual respect and understanding during Ramadan.

He stressed the values of empathy, generosity, and charity that are central to the spirit of Ramadan and encouraged Muslims to support one another, particularly during these challenging times.

"As we fast and pray during Ramadan, let us also remember those who are less fortunate and in need of our assistance. Let us strive to uphold the principles of compassion, empathy, and generosity that define this holy month. Together, let us build a more inclusive and harmonious society where every individual can thrive."

The senator also used the opportunity to reaffirm his commitment to serving the people of Ogun East Senatorial District with dedication and integrity.
