Operatives of Kebbi State Hisbah board have arrested one Habibu of Badariya area in Birnin Kebbi for allegedly raping two girls of five and six years names withheld.
The arrest was confirmed by Kebbi hisbah commander malam Sulaiman, he said the boy of 16 years Habibu has confessed to have defiled the two minors in a bush in Badariya area.
For further confirmation, the state commander stated that, the victims were taken to the hospital to confirm defilement and the doctor cofirmed that there was penetration in their private parts which corroborated the confession of Habibu during investigations.
However, the boy has been handed over to Kebbi state police command under age department for further investigation and possible prosecution.
The hisbah board warned those engaging in anti social behaviour to desist forthwith or have them to contend with they thanked people of the community who identified and reported the case to them, while appealing to members of the public to furnish them with information he assured of unmitigated resolve to stamp out social crimes in the state.
