'No way for Economic Empowerment Day in Igboland' - Ekpa counters Kanu

The Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government, Simon Ekpa, on Saturday disagreed with directive of Nnamdi Kanu, who has directed that the Monday-sit-at-home rules should be discontinued, but rather evert Monday should be ‘Economic Empowerment ‘Day in Igboland.

Ekpa, the Finland-based lawyer and  separatist, who disclosed this on Saturday through his verified Twitter handle described the directive as fake and untrue.

He was reacting to a statement by the spokesman of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Emma Powerful declaring Monday as ‘Economic Empowerment Day’.

But Ekpa stressed that Igbos should disregard the claim.

He reiterated his resolve to achieve Biafra liberation and referendum.

He said: “There is nothing like economic empowerment in Biafra within Nigeria. After the two weeks sit-at-home. Since these criminals and corrupt politicians are taking us for granted, we will continue to observe civic disobedience in the Eastern region. Biafrans should wait for the announcement,” he wrote.
