Polls: LP Presidential Campaign Council reject results

...says Buhari has failed to deliver on his promise of a free, fair election

The Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council has rejected what it described as “compromised results” of last Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly elections.

Director General of the LP PCC, Balogun Akin Osuntokun, said this at a media briefing, in Abuja, on Monday.

He explained that the Labour Party has documented and video evidence most of which are already in public space about the violence and electoral malfeasance perpetuated against the party nationwide.

Osuntokun also noted that the party’s emphatic victory in Lagos was a tip of the iceberg when the real results of the elections are made public.

He said, “The margin of our victory in the results from Lagos is far greater than what was announced by INEC.”

The campaign said the results being announced by INEC at the National Collation Centre is a far cry from what voters expressed at the various polling units.

Osuntokun said all the campaign is demanding for the suspension of the exercise or in the alternative an outright cancellation of the polls.
