    Ogun monarch seeks support of NGOs, others to deliver quality health services to his community

     The newly installed Oloja Ekun of Igbesa, Oba AbdulAzzez Akinde, Ado-Odo/Ota, Ogun State, has promised to seek partnership with Non-Governmental Organizations in health profession at local and international level in order to give quality healthcare service delivery to the people of his community. 

     The monarch equally called on various companies in his domain including those in Ogun Guangdong Free Trade Zone Limited and others to support the community in giving out quality healthcare service delivery to its people. 

     The Oba, who disclosed this yesterday in an interview at his palace added that when people especially the locals that work for the companies are in good health, they would perform well and ensure speedy operations. 

     He, therefore, promised to employ the service of NGOs both local and international in health professions not only to give basic healthcare service delivery to the people but also to advice them on minor health tips. 

     The monarch said that little health advice on how people could control their blood pressure, high cholesterol, which are deadly diseases that our people don't care about, could possibly save their lives rather than building big medical facility that the community could not afford. 

     He said" I know it is not easy for a community like Igbesa to single handedly carry out a big hospital project. My intention is to see if i can seek private partnership with NGOs and companies that operate within our community to see how they can support us."

     "If the people who are employed within the town are healthy then it is an advantage to the companies that employed them. 

    We have NGOs who are more interested in supporting us. There are a lot of NGOs (health organizations) at the local, national and overseas that are ready to give support for a struggling community like us".

     "Like i said, i want to have partnership with local health professionals as well to see how they can give us basic health care. 

    For example, they can give advice on how people can control their blood pressure, high cholesterol, which are deadly diseases that our people don't care about." he added
