Former President Muhammadu Buhari says Nigeria witnessed significant improvements in both the economy and security during his tenure.
Buhari, who led Nigwria from 2015 to 2023 under the All Progressives Congress (APC), stated this while receiving members of the Katsina State Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) at his country home in Daura.
According to Bihari, he recalled inherited an economy in crisis and a country grappling with severe security challenges. This he said includes widespread terrorist activities.
However, he maintained that by the time he left office in 2023, the economy had improved, and the nation was in a better state than when he assumed leadership.
Expressing confidence in the progress made under his administration, the former military general believes that Nigeria will continue on a path of improvement.
