Ibadan stampede: Court grants Naomi, Oriyomi, Fasasi N10m bail






Oyo State High Court, sitting in Ibadan has granted ex-Queen Naomi Sikekunola, the owner of Ibadan-based broadcasting station, Alhaji Oriyomi Hazmat and the Principal of Islamic High School, Basorun, Abdulahib Fasasi bail over their alleged roles in Ibadan stampede that resulted in the death of 35 children.

Justice K. B Olawoyin in his ruling on the bail application filed by the defence counsel admitted the suspects to bail with N10m fines each with two sureties in the like sums on Monday.

The sureties, according to the ruling, must submit landed docuemnt within the jurisdiction of the court.

The other conditions the applicant must deposit their international passport with the court and they are barred from granting any form of press interview during the pendency of the case.

Also, the applicant must deposit their International  passport with the Court as well barred from granting press interview.

The case has been adjourned for further hearing till 27th January 2025.
