A 12-year-old boy has disclosed that he ran away from home because he was fed only twice a day.
The boy while narrating his story after he was reunited with his guardian at the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, headquarters in Osogbo, Osun State, said the two meals served him did not satisfy his appetite.
In a statement issued by NSCDC spokesperson, Kehinde Adeleke on Wednesday, disclosed that the guardian, whose name was withheld, said the boy’s appetite for food is high.
The statement while quoting the boy, states, “I ran away from my guardian’s house due to inadequate food, I was only given two square meals in a day and it didn’t satisfy me, hence I ran away”.
The guardian responds, “his appetite for food is too high. No matter the quantity of food served to him, he remains unsatisfied”, the statement quoted the guardian.
The NSCDC state commandant, Michael Adaralewa disclosed that the boy was wandering around LAMECO area of Osogbo when he was picked by operatives on Thursday, August 29, 2024 around 11pm.
He, therefore, charged members of the public to always cooperate with security operatives in the fight against crime, especially kidnapping in the state.
