Sokoto state government has donated thirteen million naira (N13,000,000), 55 bags of parboiled rice, other grains to the family of late district head of Sabon Birni, Alhaji Isah Mohammad Bawa who was recently abducted and killed by suspected gunmen.
The donation came at the instance of a condolence visit to the family of the disease by the state Deputy Governor, Alhaji Idris Mohammed Gobir in company of state government officials and top APC stalwarts in the state.
The breakdown of the donation according to the deputy governor, the family the late traditional ruler in Sabon Birni would received 10 million naira, 40 bags of rice and other grains, while his other wife and children in Sokoto would similarly received 3 million naira, 15 bags of rice and other grains.
" I am here on behalf of the Sokoto state governor Ahmed, myself, the state APC leader senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko ( Sarkin Yamma) and good people of the state to condole you and pray for the repose of our father and number one citizen of Sabon Birni.
The Deputy Governor who was at the house of the late Monarch in Sabon Birni prayed Allah to forgive the disease for all his shortcomings and grant his family and people of his domain the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss amin.
