Three persons were reportedly trapped in the rubbles of an uncompleted building that collapsed in Osogbo, Osun State capital.
The tragedy which occurred around 8am on Sunday threw residents of Sabo community perplexed as residents thronged to the scene to participate in rescue operation.
An eyewitness, Sani Isyaku said the officials of emergency response were joined by residents to rescue those trapped in the building.
He added that some persons were taken out and rushed in an ambulance to the hospital while others were still trapped within the rubbles.
Confirming the incident, spokesperson, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Osun Command, Kehinde Adeleke said five persons were trapped in the collapsed building.
"Two persons have been rescued while three are still trapped within the building as the team required the service of a crane to clear the rubbles before any action can be taken.
"While we await the Crain, people are doing all they can within the physical human capacity to break the decking and connected rods", she said.
