There was heavy security beef up at Gidan Nassarawa, the Emir's Guest house, where the 15th Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero is currently occupying despite court order to evict him from the palace.
The security personnel comprises of Police, Army and DSS with their stationed vehicles.
A visit to Gidan Nassarawa observed strict restrictions of movement in and out of the area.
The security officers who mounted a road block on the area, said they were acting on instructions.
Sources at the Gidan Nassarawa confirmed that the deposed Emir was currently in the Emir's guest house around 3pm but has retired to the inner room.
It was gathered that Bayero had earlier in the day received some of his subjects who paid him homage.
When contacted for reaction of the Kano State government on the development and continual stay of the deposed Emir, Bayero at the Gidan Nassarawa, the State's Commissioner of Information, Halilu Dantiye was not responding to call and text message put across to his mobile phone.
Meanwhile, the 16th Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II who is currently occupying the main palace is guarded by citizens who voluntarily sacrificed themselves for the governor's choice.
However, there are little presence of security personnel such as Police, NSCDC and DSS.
