Eid-el-Fitri: Kashamu's son fetes 4,000 constituents

A member of Ogun State House of Assembly, representing Ijebu North 1 State Constituency, Hon. Abdulrasheed Kashamu on Wednesday feted over 4,000 people in his constituency, comprising  children, youths, elderly and people living with disability, to celebrate Eid-el-Fitri.

The beneficiaries received rice, noodles and cash.

Distributing the items at his father's country home in Ijebu-Igbo, headquarters of Ijebu North local government of Ogun State, Hon. Kashamu said, he was driven with passion to put smiles on the faces of the less privileged during festive period.

According to him, put smiles on the faces of the less privileged at festive period was one of the legacies of his late father and after his demise in 2020, the family never abandoned it.

The Ogun State House of Assembly Minority Whip, said, "whatever we do here today is the way of my late father, late Senator Buruji Kashamu. We have always believed in extending hands of love and support to our people and it is a legacy that we inherited and which we have carried on with and we hope to do more.

"This is a gesture that has been going on for years in Kashamu's family, we try to reach out to as many people as possible, uplift them, feed them and help them in our own little way.

He promised that he will not relent in giving necessary supports to his community to improve their wellbeing.

He said, "as a member of the State House of Assembly, I will continue to place the interest of my constituents over personal gains, because that was the key reasons I was given the mandate to represent them.”

Hon. Kashamu, called on other well-meaning Nigerians and philanthropists to extend their wealth to the less privileged in the society.

Some of the beneficiaries, who spoke with newsmen appreciated Hon. Kashamu for assisting the less privileged members of the society and prayed God to shower his favors and blessings to him,
