A 30 years old man, Abubakar Sani has been arrested by the Police in Niger state for hacking his senior brother, Kabir Sani to death over the property of their father.
The incident occured in Gawu-Babangida in Gurara local government area of the state.
It was reliably gathered that a hot argument had ensued between the two biological brothers over a property of their father which resorted to Abubakar hitting his senior brother severally with a stick to the death.
Efforts made by neighbours and passers by to intervene proved abortive as Abubakar continued to wield the big stick in his hand to hit anybody who tried to intervene.
Looking from a distance, Abubakar succeeded in hitting his late brother on all parts of the body especially on the head severally and later left in his pool of blood.
As Abubakar was trying to escape from the scene, some of the villagers bounced on him, arrested and handed him over to the Police.
The almost lifeless body of late Kabir, aged 34 was immediately rushed to Federal Medical Centre, (FMC), Gawu Babangida where he was certified dead.
Niger state Police Public Relations Officer(PPRO), SP Abiodun Wasiu in a statement later confirmed the incident.
"We heard that an argument ensued between the two brothers which led to the junior brother killing his senior brother over their father's property.
"Late Kabir, 34 years was rushed to the Federal Medical Center (FMC), Gawu Babangida where he was confirmed dead.
