Suspect reportedly jumped bail in Oyo

Police authorities in Oyo State have been alleged of negligence over its inability to produce the suspect, one Mr. Sola Adeoye, a prime suspect in a suit number MT/NT/671/C2023COP Vs Adenle Kehinde in court as required by law.

The Complainant, Mr. Akinwunmi Fowora, had in a petition to the Assistant-Inspector General of Police, Zone 11 filed through his counsel, S.B. FIOLA esq a copy of which was made available to newsmen yesterday in Ibadan, alleged Oyo police command of not producing neither the suspect nor his surety in court after being admitted to bail in accordance with the law.

The petitioner alleged that non presentation of the prime suspect in court has been stalling the proceeding.

It was added that the proceedings in the matter had taken place twice at the Iyaganku Magistrate court, Ibadan twice without the IPO  presentation, thus stalling proceedings.

The prime suspect, according to the petitioner, has not been re-arrested by the police authorities for his non-appearance in court.

The petitioner, thereby, appealed to the AIG to investigate the matter with a view to apprehending the prime suspect.

"Please kindly assist to invite the police officers concerned at the Intelligence Bureau, Police Headquarters, Ibadan for investigation of this matter," the complainant said.
