The Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, Gani Adams, has identified restructuring as the solution to the blowing wind of insecurity in the nation.

He restated his belief in the Yoruba, saying history has provided a place for the Yoruba to take their pride of place among all races.

His words: "I will always protect the interest of the Yoruba race, anytime, anywhere I am because that is the first and fundamental duty of the Yoruba generalissimo. What we are doing here today is never a jamboree, but a reflection of the sanctity and importance of the stool. It is not because we like partying but because it is the tradition of the position.”

On the appointment of the Aare-in- Council, he said It was to reposition the office of the Aare Ona Kakanfo

"As the Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba land, I cannot do it alone, I will need people that can assist in making key decisions in the interest of the race.So the Aareonakakanfo chiefs in Council are products of my good office and they will complement my efforts and roles in advancing the course of the race.”
