    Lawyer allegedly kills mobile policeman in Bauchi





    A legal practitioner, Abdullahi Abubakar, has allegedly killed a mobile policeman in Bauchi.

    The spokesman for Operation Safe Haven military taskforce, Captain Oya James, stated this in a statement on Tuesday.

    According to him, troops had on Saturday arrested one “Mr Abdullahi Abubakar Lawyer” at Rimin Zayam village in Toro Local Government Area of Bauchi State for the alleged “killing one of own Mobile Police personnel”.

    The incident happened on November 2, 2023 at Kuba village in Bokkos Local Government Area of the state.


    James stated that the suspect admitted to being involved in kidnapping, among other sundry crimes with other gang members.

    Based on his confessional statement, troops had on Sunday raided Kambal and Hurti villages in Bokkos LG.

    The raid operation, led to the arrest of Yakubu Saidu and Nasiru Mohammed, who were also connected to the crime.

    233 rounds of 7.62mm special, one Techno phone, one Itel phone and one motorcycle were recovered during the raid.
