An Abuja High Court sitting at Maitama, on Friday, remanded the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, in prison custody.
The court, in a bench ruling by Justice Hamza Muazu, ordered that the embattled erstwhile CBN governor should be kept at the Kuje Correctional Center, pending the determination of his request for bail.
The order came after Emefiele pleaded not guilty to a six-count amended charge that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, preferred against him.
