CSOs mobilises for nation wide protest in Kebbi







A civil society organization in Kebbi state, initiative for transparency and justice (IFTA) has said that it has fully mobilised for Nigeria labour congress's planned nation wide protest  and strike over fuel subsidy removal and anti poor policies of Tinubu led government.

Speaking in Birnin Kebbi, the state secretary of the organization, Comrade Usman Muhammad Anache said they decided to support the organized labour because the federal government have not shown seriousness in what it has promised Nigerians after the subsidy removal.

He added  that the palliatives promised by  president Tinubu despite the fact that is mergre it is being delayed two months after the harsh removal of subsidy which is sucking the blood of an already impoverished masses of Nigeria, workers pay rise also pledged by the president is yet to make any headway till today instead his government is only full of pledges without actions.

Anche noted that part of the reason they have mobilised for protest include inability of poor Nigerians to access good healthcare services,hunger, education and inadequate security of lives and property of the citizenry "we are fully in support of the organized labour we are ready to participate as long as the NLC is going ahead with the protest and the nationwide strike because the president has not given us reason to back down.


He urged the protesters to be peaceful and law abiding not to engage in violence while protesting for emancipation from poor policies without human face as demonstrated by the federal government of Nigeria.
