The Oyo State Police command, has declared the Head of the Park Management System, PMS in the state, Alhaji Mukaila Lamidi, aka Auxiliary wanted in connection with cases of attempted murder, causing grievous harm, arms dealing, murder, armed robbery within the state and kidnapping at Oke-ogun and Ibarapa axis of the state.
The state police command, on Friday, in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Adewale Osifeso, stated that, Auxiliary, a 61-year old indigene of the state, was responsible for the mayhem that occurred on Monday, during the second term inauguration of Governor Seyi Makinde, which left scores injured in the state.
The statement read: "The General Public particularly good citizens of Oyo State is hereby notified that Lamidi Mukaila aka Auxiliary 'M' whose photograph appears above is wanted by the Nigeria Police Force, Oyo State Command in connection with cases of attempted murder, causing grievous harm, arms dealing , murder, armed robbery within Oyo State and kidnapping at Oke-ogun and Ibarapa axis of the state."
"Lamidi Mukaila is an indigene of Oyo State. He was born on the 9th, January 1962 (61yrs) and dark in complexion. He is about 1.55m (5ft1), Married and speaks Yoruba and English Language moderately."
"His last known address is Diamond Hotel, Alakia-Isebo, Egbeda LGA. Anybody with useful information as to his whereabouts should please contact the Oyo State Police Command on any of these lines; 08033387701, 08023219552, 07055495413 and 08081768614," the statement said.
According to Osifeso, who addressed newsmen during the monthly press briefing at the Police Headquarters, Eleyele, Ibadan, operatives of the command while acting on credible intelligence, raided the Diamond Hotel, located at Alakia-Isebo, Egbeda LGA allegedly owned by Auxiliary, where several sophisticated weapons, assorted charms, mobile phones, cash sum of three million, four hundred and fifty thousand naira only were recovered.
"One of the (78) Seventy-Eight suspects apprehended in the raid, One Ismail Abiodun ‘M’ age 39yrs who has particularly been on the Command intelligence watchlist for sales and distribution of drugs was sighted in possession of loads of banned substances suspected to be hard drugs during the raid."
"He has since voluntarily confessed to the crime, identifying his distribution network and huge clientele base within Lagos, Oyo, Osun and Ogun States. The suspect would be handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) upon completion of Investigations. Updates would be provided accordingly," Osifeso said.
