    Gunmen abduct Taraba council boss, kill Police orderly








    The Caretaker Committee Chairman of Takum Local Government Council in Taraba State, Boyi Manja, has been reportedly abducted by gunmen.

    It was gathered that his orderly was also killed by the gunmen.

    The incident occured Sunday afternoon, along Wukari/Takum road.

    Confirming the incident, the leader of Takum Local Government Legislative Council, Pius Bulus Gauva, said “we received the news with rude shock.”


    “My Caretaker Committee Chairman has been kidnapped, his police orderly, was killed during the incident.”

    A source from the council said the council chairman was traveling with his driver and orderly when the gunmen struck.

    Also confirming the report, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Abdullahi Usman, who could not give details at the time of filing this report, said it “is true that the council caretaker chairman has been abducted.”
