The Senator-elect for Ogun West Senatorial District of Ogun State, Solomon Adeola,
has won his polling unit at U.A.M.C School, Pahayi, Ilaro, in Yewa South local government area of the State, with a total votes of 229 for APC and its governorship candidate, Dapo Abiodun against the closest rivals of ADC that scored 106 votes and PDP’s 84 votes.
Adeola, who is the Chairman of Senate Committee of Finance of the 9th National Assembly,
also won his Ilaro Ward 1 with a total vote of 1,713 while ADC and PDP scored 1,094 and 915 votes respectively from the collated and announced results by officials of INEC.
Equally, results collated at the Situation Room of APC in Ogun West show that the Senator Adeola equally won Yewa South for APC, while it is certain that Ogun West will post huge votes for APC at the end of collation of the 5 LGAs of the district.
Speaking earlier with journalists after casting his vote, Senator Adeola expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the governorship and State Assembly elections, stressing that there was a marked improvement on the conduct of the elections from the hitches observed during the last Presidential and National Assembly elections.
“I am satisfied with the conduct so far. The INEC officials came on time and the machines work very well from my observation here and reports I am getting across my senatorial district. Our democracy is progressing and we are learning and improving on the processes. We are on a journey to perfecting our electoral system” he stated.
