The Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun has described the late Dagburewe of Idowa, Oba Yinusa Adekoya, as an exemplary man of distinguished character who loved his community and worked for its development.

Abiodun stated this during the burial of the late monarch at his personal residence in Idowa, Monday, noting Oba Adekoya was an articulate as well as a cerebral monarch.

"He was an exemplary man of distinguished character and integrity; he was a very articulate and cerebral monarch. He was very knowledgeable and represented the Awujale very well

"When you say someone is loyal, he was a great example of loyalty. When you say someone loves his community and its development, Oba Adekoya loved Idowa, he loved Odogbolu, he loved God, he was a God-fearing man and he was a giver", the governor said.

Governor Abiodun while calling on the people of the town and the state as a whole to live a life worthy of emulation, commiserated with the Awujale of Ijebuland and the Ijebu traditional council, over the passing of Oba Adekoya.

In his message, the Grand Mufti of Ogun State; Sheikh Sile Rufai, while calling on the sons and daughters of Idowa to take solace in the Almighty Allah that the late monarch lived a life of purpose, admonished people in the position of authority to live a life of service and purpose.

Sheikh Rufai who also called on the people of the town to see the death of the monarch as an act of Almighty Allah, charged them to imbibe the good characters of the late traditional ruler.
