    State Governor declares Friday public holiday

    Osun State government has declared Friday, February 24 as public holiday ahead of the Saturday Presidential and National Assembly elections.

    A statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Teslim Igbalaye on Wednesday, disclosed that the holiday will afford indigenes and residents travel to their various localities to participate in the poll.

    It added that public servants are expected to utilize the opportunity to travel for the electoral process.

    "This is time for all citizens to exercise their voting rights. His Excellency again appeal to all residents to be law abiding as they peacefully exercise their voting rights on Saturday and subsequent elections", the SSG noted.
