CALEB University Holds Inaugural Law Dinner

The College of Law, Caleb University, Lagos, under the Chairmanship of Honourable Justice Kazeem Alogba, the Chief Judge of Lagos State, will on Friday hold her Inaugural Law Dinner, with the theme, 'Character and Integrity', on at the Lagos Marriott Hotel, Ikeja.

The Honourable Chief Judge would lead other distinguished members of the legal community in a procession and the inaugural Law Dinner of the Institution.

According to a Press Statement by Olawale Adekoya, Information, Media and Publication Specialist, "the evening provides the opportunity to network during time set aside for a social interaction, as it gives students a chance to gain valuable insight into the work of experienced lawyers and an opportunity to ask questions that about career, potential graduate jobs, internships and trade secrets."

"The event was packaged not only to provide a platform to train the students in the basic etiquettes of the profession, but also an avenue to interact with revered members of the Bar and the Bench to inculcate and inbibe the habit of learned gentlemen. Also, the gathering will congregate Law students of the College, legal luminaries, solicitors, academics, and other professionals in a unique atmosphere.
It is also an evening of celebration where outstanding scholarship and achievements will be rewarded, celebrated and honoured."

Vice Chancellor, Prof Nosa Owens-Ibie noted that the packaging of the event is an affirmation of the premium Caleb University places on the Law programme which is fast emerging as a model of legal education in Nigeria,  with unimaginable potential.



Dr Foluke Dada, Acting Dean, College of Law, underscored the fact that the College is an aspiring College of Law in metropolitan Lagos with the vision to prepare outstanding lawyers to serve their local, national, and global communities with excellence, integrity, and professionalism; and through its scholarship and service strives to contribute to the development of the Law, and a more just society.

Indeed, this must be a season of  harvest of monumental successes for the Institution which recently held her Founders Week to celebrate the 15th anniversary. The Institution also convoked 966 Postgraduate and Undergraduate students; as well as conferred Honorary Doctorate Degrees on distinguished Nigerians including Dr John Momoh, Founder/Chairman Channels Television; Dr Dele Alake, Chairman TVC Communications.
