President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday met with the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Godwin Emefiele, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The CBN governor, who was seeing the President privately for the third time since the cash crisis escalated across the country, did not speak to journalists as he left the Villa.
Though, his reason for the visit was not known, but it was however, believed to be in connection to finding solution to the cash crisis.
Recall that as a result of the outcry by Nigerians over the recent Naira Redesign, the President had pleaded with Nigerians to give him till February 10 for him to consult relevant stakeholders and make a decision on the complaints from Nigerians over the scarcity of naira notes.
The President had also chaired the Council of State meeting on Friday which had in attendance all past presidents and heads of state including present and past Chief Justices of the Federation, state governors as well as the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
