The death of the matriarch of the Adebutu family, Chief Mrs Caroline Oladunni Adebutu who is the mother of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Governorship candidate in Ogun State, Chief Oladipupo Adebutu has been described as a deep blow and a great loss to the family, Nigeria, Ogun State and the entire PDP.

A community leader and House of Representatives Candidate of the PDP vying to represent Abeokuta South Federal Constituency, Chief Toyin Amuzu stated this in a condolence message to commiserate with the families of the deceased.

“I am deeply saddened by her death which is a personal loss for me. Her death came at a time when her wealth of experiences and leadership traits are needed to guide and steer her family and son, as the mother of the Governor to be now that it is assured that the people are clamouring to have a PDP government that would save them from the present sufferings.” he said.

"It is a big loss, we have lost not only a mother but an integral member of the Adebutu family whose support and guidance are greatly needed at this time. But who are we to question God?” he asked.

Chief Amuzu, while praying to God to forgive her sins and comfort the entire family said "we are comforted with the fact that she lived a worthy life and left behind great children of whom one of them is Chief Ladi Adebutu".
