Stop complaining, collect your PVC to change bad leadership, Amuzu tells Nigerians

By Peter Adedoyin

The House of Representatives candidate in Abeokuta South Federal Constituency, on the platform of People's Democratic Party (PDP), Toyin Amuzu has called on Nigerians
collect their Permanent Voter Cards, (PVC) to enable them perform their civic rights in the forthcoming general elections.

Amuzu, who made the call in Abeokuta, while welcoming over 1,000 decampees from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abeokuta South local government, enjoined Nigerians to stop complaining about the current economic condition, saying that they should take pragmatic action to change the bad leadership being experienced in the country.

The House of Representatives hopeful, while welcoming the decampees said, the movement from the ruling party showed that all is not well in the APC and the people with good conscience must move away from such misrule and maladministration that has put everyone in trouble.

He said "no one with a good heart would want us to continue in poverty, insecurity, bad economy and with a whole lot of challenges. Our people must realized that the coming election is another opportunity to change bad leadership and stop the sufferings by voting out the incompetent lots superintending over our commonwealth with no good results".

Amuzu assured that the PDP as a political platform which puts people first in all its programmes and policies would not disappoint the new entrants, urging more people to come into the PDP fold to be able to rescue the people from hardship.

The decampees led by Adegoke Oke said they could not continue to stay in a party where justice, peace and unity are trampled upon, while most of their leaders in APC are only concerned about themselves alone to the detriment of party members and the people they are serving.

He said, they have come to join the winning party come 2023 as the PDP has shown great capacity in creating hope and new life of opportunities for the people.

Presenting the party flag to the decampees, the Chairman of PDP in Ogun State, Sikirulai Ogundele was joined by the Ogun Central Senatorial candidate of the party, Olumide Aderinokun and the PDP candidates for the House of Assembly in Abeokuta South, Hon Idowu Olowofuja and Hon Lukmon Atobatele vying to represent Constituency 1 and 2 respectively.

Prominent leaders of the party which included the DG Campaign for Ladi Adebutu Chief Semiu Sodipo, Alhaji Isiaka Amodemaja and Alhaji Iskilu Odejinmi were also on ground to receive the new entrants and admonish them to remain steadfast, as the PDP is a political party for all.
