Kebbi State Police command has paraded two rapist and 25 others on various crimes at the state headquarters Birnin Kebbi.
Speaking to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi, the Kebbi State Police Commissioner , Ahmed Magaji Kontagora said that, the feat was achieved through sustained patrol base on credible intelligence report.
According to him , one Rugga Aliyu of Mashekari Illela Kwaido under Augie local government was alleged to have pursued the daughters of one Anas dantalli while they were rearing cattle unfortunately succeeded in grabbing one of them who is 19 years old and forcefully had canal knowledge of her, on receipt of the incident team of police men moved to the scene and subsequently arrested the suspects and he has confessed to the crime and would be charged to court .
However, armed bandits in large numbers were reported to have barricaded Bena-mai rairai road and had already kidnapped four person's, following report of the seige by the bandits armed mobile police stormed the place engaged them on a gun duel and rescued the four kidnapped victims unhurt while two AK47 rifles and a toyoto Corolla was recovered from them.
In a related development , one rape suspect simply identified as Samuel residing in Bena was alleged to have raped his neighbour who they live in same compound, in his narration he denied the allegations saying the police just came to his shop and arrested him after he earlier confessed to the crime.
Other suspects paraded include armed robbers, motorcycles thieves and teenage kidnapper Amirah who was arrested alongside her boyfriend at Yauri, Amirah is an indigene of Zamfara state claimed that she didn't know her boyfriend is a kidnapper, the CP however, warned members of the public to desist from taking law into their hands, to politicians he said they should aviod statements capable of causing violence during campaigns.
