President Muhammadu Buhari has handed over the All Progressives Congress APC flag to the Presidential candidate of the Party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as the party flags off its Presidential campaign in Jos, Plateau State.
Without uttering any word, the President handed over the campaign to signify the kick-starting of the party's campaigns ahead of the 2023 general elections.
However, the Presidential candidate of the Party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu who spoke earlier assured Nigerians that, hope is back, it will be well with Nigeria and Nigeria will not sink.
Among other things, he said, "...It is a great honour to flag off our campaign in Jos..., we will provide decent jobs to do and a decent home to return to. Nigeria will not sink in the time of APC... February 2023 is more than an election but a fight for the soul of the nation... Never again will we surrender our nation to jackals so that they don't reverse the progress. Our party is progressive and forward-looking..."
To the youths, he added, "Today may be difficult but hope is not lost, we won't let you down, get your PVC ready, be confident, be determined and vote for our party, APC..."
He commended President Buhari for giving his best to the country, Party National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu for restoring discipline to the Party, and his campaign Campaign DG, Simon Lalong for being hard working.
The Party Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu tasks citizens to give peace and democracy a chance and stresses, "we are in the race to win at all levels, I urge you to support us fully."
Senate President, Ahmad Lawan also assured all members of the National Assembly on the platform of the Party would work to deliver victory saying, "we are committed to ensuring that our Presidential candidate and his running mate are returned elected..."
