Late Oba Odetola for burial on next week Thursday

Burial arrangements for the slain traditional ruler of Agodo in Ewekoro local government area of Ogun State, late Oba Ayinde Odetola have been released. 


According to a joint address by the Agodo, Imo and Egba Chiefs held  at the  Ake palace there will be a press conference on Friday 14th October, 2022.

The statement signed by  Chief Sikiru Amodu, Balogun of Imo township on behalf of Egbaland, there will be service of songs on Tuesday 18th October.

Burial rites on Wednesday 19th October 10am, to be followed by funeral service on
Wednesday 19th October 2pm.

Traditional burial will take place on Thursday 20th October, 11am, Fridau prayer
Saturday 22nd October 11am, while there will be
thanksgiving service on
Sunday 23rd October at
11 a

Chief Amodu enjoined all sons and daughters of Agodo to troop out en masse to give the traditional ruler a rousing departure.

He enjoined all to remain calm and peaceful before, during and after the burial.

It will be recalled that Oba Olaayinde Odetola, the late Olu of Agodo was brutally murdered in the town in February this year.

Following his gruesome murder, I6 suspects have been arrested and arraigned in court. They are currently been held at Oba Correctional Co.enter.

The release signed by chief sikiru Amodu Balogun imo town, the home town of Agodo in Abeokuta also urge any members of the public with further useful information that could aid police in their investigation to make such available to the police


Present at the conference included, Odofin Imo, Chief Tunde Adesina, Aare Olotu of Itori, Chief Toyin Borbitey, Amona Baaroyin of Egbaland, Amona Tajudeen Oladeinde, Agodo chiefs, Imo chiefs, Baales, and several other sons and daughters of Agodo
