.......says we come from Ibadan to kidnap children in Lagos

An attempt by some suspected kidnappers to kidnap some pupils was foiled on Monday, at Omole Phase 1 Estate, Lagos, as one of them was apprehended by residents.
The incident reportedly occurred at about 8.30am.
A resident of Omole Phase 1 Estate, who simple gave his name as 'Mr Money' said he was not in the estate as at the time of the incident, but said, he gathered that the suspects who were two in number were loitering around a private school in the area when residents noticed their suspicious movement.
"They were said to have alerted the school guards to be at alert.
"It was learnt that the suspects later found their way into the school premises but the vigilance of the school guards paved way as one of the suspects were apprehended while the other took to his heels,"
According to him, he travelled all the way from Ibadan, Oyo State, with his accomplice, Kayode Akinola to kidnapp children in the area.
He confessed that they have carried out series of operations at Berger, Ikotun, Iyana-Ipaja and Iyana- Iba, all in Lagos State.
We use victims for money ritual
Temitayo confessed that many children have fallen victims of their operations and as such are used for money ritual in Ibadan.
Also, he confessed that the team are spread across Beere, Apata, Sango, Ojo and Moniya to mention but a few. He said, " We are from Ibadan, Oyo State and specialise in kidnapping of children.
"We have kidnapped many children in areas like Berger, Ikotun, Iyana-Ipaja and Iyana- Iba. My name is Temitayo Olafisoye and my accomplice is Kayode Akinola.
"Our team are spread across Beere, Apata, Sango, Ojo, Moniya in Ibadan, Oyo State. The kidnapped children are used for money ritual,"
We give them local anesthetics
The suspect confessed that the victims are forced to drink local anesthetics made up of medicine mixed with water from drainages. "We lure them and give them medicine mixed with water from drainages which will make them to fall asleep." He said.
It was gathered that after interrogation, the suspect was taken to Ojodu Police station for further investigation.
Confirming the incident, Benjamin Hundyin, the spokesperson, Lagos State Police Command said the suspect was being interrogated at Ojodu Police Station but will be transferred to the state Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba, for proper investigation.
