Gunmen have abducted a nursing mother and her baby in Tudun Mun Tsira village, Zangon Shanu, Samaru in Sabon Gari local government area of Kaduna State.
An elderly man, Mallam Abubakar Garba Aliyu, who was said to have recently relocated to the community was also abducted alongside his son, Salimi Abubakar, in Hayin Liman, the same area.
A source said, the incident which happened in the early hours of Friday left many people in the area in panic.
The source said, “The gunmen came in large numbers and invaded the area through the back fence of the university. They rode on motorbikes carrying sophisticated arms.”
He said residents think the armed men came in from kasuwar Da’a axis, in Giwa Local Government Area which is very close to their settlement.
Zangon Shanu is a settlement very close to ABU Zaria which hosts most of the teaching and non-teaching staff of the institution.
