A middle aged man, Kazeem Dosunmu has petitioned the Nigerian Police over threat to his life by one Bayo Akala over his alleged failure to present Bayo's daughters, Rokeebat and Amina Akala for female circumcision.
In the petition with the title, Threat to Kill me and addressed to the Police headquarters, Kazeem Dosunmu alleged that the attempt by the Kemta Police Divisional Headquarter to intervene in the matter had proved abortive, thereby resulting to write for the Police Command intervention.

SAVE MY SOUL FROM [AKALA BAYO] WHO REPEATEDLY THREATENED TO KILL ME [KAZZEEM DOSUNMU] OVER HIS DEMAND FOR THE RETURN OF HIS DAUGHTERS [ROKEEBAT & AMINAT AKALA] FOR THE PURPOSES OF CARRYING OUT FEMALE GENITAL MUTILATION [FGM] ON THESE INNOCENT MINORS.
I hereby humbly submit that I had to write this save my soul for the purposes of saving my life from the persistent attacked and threat to my life by a suspect [Bayo Akala] who has now make it a daily acts of assaulting me over a matter that does not concern me.
First and foremost Sir, I met a already divorced lady[Wasilat Olusola Akala] nee Hamid sometimes in the past who had left her former husband [Bayo] on persistent allegation of physical assaults and destructions of her property.
They already had two children (Rokeebat and Aminat) before their separation.
Meanwhile, the suspect suddenly came to me about two months ago demanding that I should produced his two children from my wife because he wanted to carry out circumcision on them in accordance with their family tradition.
All explanations that he should get straight to the mother of the children abroad was neglected and he insists that by the time he finish with me, he will know the stuff he is made off.
When his threat became unbearable, I quickly reported the matter to the nearest police station at Kemta, here in Abeokuta he was called and cautioned that he cannot get what he wanted because FGM has no legitimacy in Nigeria of 21st century and that the lives of these minors will be put in danger if at all their mother decides to agree with his proposal.
However, he disregarded the advice and continue his threat on me which has now reach a serious point and since my life is very paramount which cannot be left in jeopardy and at the mercy of this criminal who has no regard for the rule of law by coming to fight me everyday demanding for something he knew I do not have control over.
In the light of the above, I humbly urge you to use your office to help me publicise to the world about my predicament thus saving my life from the real threat emanating from this ruthless and dangerous person who has decided to the use of naked show of force in a democratic dispensation to oppress and threaten me.
He should find a way to bring his children back to Nigeria if he can do so without involving me.
