Ogun Commissioner bags award of excellence, promises more support for MSMEs

In recognition of her contributions to the development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), across Ogun State, Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Investment, Mrs. Kikelomo Longe has bagged an award of excellence. 

 Presenting the Award to Mrs. Longe at the conference room of the Ministry, in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, the Lead, Next Star Development Foundation, Mr. Gbadebo Oluomo said the move would further encourage her to keep supporting MSMEs in the State. 

 Oluomo said among others, his organisation is developing students by offering them free skill acquisition programme in their area of interest.

In her response, the Commissioner, Mrs. Longe who restated her commitment to the growth of MSMEs, promised support for the Foundation, commending it for empowering youths with requisite skills through effective training for rapid human capital development. 

"It's not enough to give a man fish as I want to encourage you to continue doing the good work. Let me assure you that this administration will continue to provide all the necessary support for the development of MSMEs in Ogun State", she said.

 In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mr. Olu. Ola. Aikulola said the growth of MSMEs is the only way for any nation to develop economically, saying the award conferred on the Commissioner is coming at the right time.
