Late General Olurin
Hon Olaifa said this in a condolence message he personally signed and released to the media.
"The news of the death of our dear elder statesman, General Adetunji Idowu Olurin (Rtd) came with mixed feelings for me: on the one hand it is very painful as we still need his likes very much around us and on the other hand, it is indeed celebration of a life well spent."he said.
"The General was an elderly friend of my family that we learnt so much from his pool of knowledge while alive and we are so proud of his achievements as the former Military Administrator of Oyo, Ekiti States and Commander of the ECOMOG Force in Liberia.
Hon Olaifa said that Nigeria, Ogun State and Ogun West in particular have lost a patriot, consummate administrator and a disciplinarian.
"On behalf of my family and the entire Constituents of Egbado North/ Imeko Afon Federal Constituency, I commiserate with the Olurin family of Ilaro, friends and associates of our departed hero"
. Hon Olaifa prayed that pray that Allah should grant him Aljanah Firdaous.
