FMC continues to wax stronger as peace returns

Since the exit of the former medical director, Professor Adewale Musa Olomu in May, the Federal Medical Centre Abeokuta under the new acting Medical Director, Dr Fidelis Ojeblenu has been witnessing peace and steady growth despite the national strike of the National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD). 
 The Acting Head of Clinical services, Dr Olubiyi Adesina said the new management has consolidated on the achievements of the immediate past Medical Director of the health institution 

 Dr Adesina who made this known to the media disclosed that the Hospital Management has been refocused in offering quality health care services to her teeming patients by engaging the medical consultants, house officers and medical youth corp members to ensure that patients are attended to promptly. 

 The acting head of clinical services said the management has been able to coordinate the medical consultants, nurses and other staff for effective service delivery in the hospital. Some members of staff who pleaded anonymity also confirmed that peace and normalcy has been restored into the Hospital. 

He commended the staff for their cooperation in ensuring that peace and stability returned to the system. He said if not for their cooperation, effective service delivery could have been hampered during the ongoing strike action embarked upon by some staff of the facilities.
