Amosun mourns Senator Durojaiye, condoles with GNI over mother's death

The Senator representing Ogun Central Senatorial district, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has commiserated with the Durojaiye family, on the passage of the patriarch of the family, Senator Olabiyi Durojaiye, on Tuesday, August, at the age of 88 years.

 A statement issued by Mr Bola Adeyemi a media aide to Senator Amosun said "Senator Olabiyi Durojaiye was a respected elder statesman, whose selfless and committed service,both in the public and private sectors of our nation would remain a study in sterling leadership"

 "His twenty-eight years sojourn at the Central Bank of Nigeria and the National Mint, where he served as Director, coupled with the indelible marks he made as a Barrister and Solicitor of Supreme Court of Nigeria, will continue to be a point of reference to the present generation and those yet to come.

" 'As the Senator for Ogun East Senatorial District (1999-2003), Senator Biyi Durojaiye provided quality representation to his constituents and contributed immensely to national debates.

 His accomplishments at the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), where he served as the Chairman of the Board, are also worthy of note.

" Senator Amosun enjoined the Durojaiye family not to mourn but to celebrate the life and times of the respected Elder, praying that the good Lord grant him eternal rest and give the entire family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. 

 In the same vein,the Senator condoled with Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, a Peoples Democratic Party gubernatorial candidate in 2015 general election,his siblings and the entire Isiaka family of Imeko, Ogun State, on the death of their Mother and Matriarch of the Isiaka family, Alhaja Adijat Kuburat Agbeke Isiaka, on Monday, 23 August at the age of 80 years.

 Senator Amosun said Alhaja Isiaka would be sorely missed for her impactful life, particularly in Imeko, Ogun State.

 “As the Iya Adinni of Imekoland, Alhaja Isiaka will be remembered for devotion to Allah and her service towards the propagation of Islam. She was a doting mother who gave quality parenting to her children, members of the family and all those around her”. 

 Amosun prayed to the Almighty Allah (SWT) to grant Alhaja Adijat Kuburat Agbeke Isiaka Aljannah Firdaous, and give Prince Gboyega Isiaka, his siblings and indeed the entire Isiaka family, the strength to bear this irreparable loss.
