Group, Nollywood actors vow to mobilise one million votes for Tinubu, Osun APC



Supporters of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Osun State and some Yoruba nollywood actors, stormed the streets of Osogbo, the state capital mobilising support for President Bola Tinubu and the APC.

The APC groups, under the aegis, Ajisope Development Initiatives from converged at the Osogbo City Stadium from where they marched through Ayetoro, Igbona, Olohunkoro, Ajegunle, Old-Garage, Oke-Fia to Oroki Extension where they terminated the over 5 kilometres solidarity walk. 

The nollywood stars led by Saheed Balogun joined the politicians at the Oroki estate where they addressed the gathering, commending the economic reform of President Bola Tinubu which is impacting on the nation's economy positively.

The coordinator of the group, Chief Kabir Adeoye, said “this solidarity work is a show of strength and we are doing this to bring more people into the party ahead of Osun 2026 guber poll and 2027 re-election of President Tinubu. Our target is one million votes as we are mobilising new voters into the party across the state.”

He highlighted that Tinubu’s achievements citing removal of ‘fraudulent’ subsidy, stabilisation of economy, increase of monthly allocations to states, infrastructural drive among others. 

The representative from the APC National Secretariat, Otunba James Udoma, said “This kind of initiative will further galvanize our party and deliver support for APC in Osun in 2026 and 2027. We now have all the south-east states working in support of APC. In the south-west we can not afford any state not working for APC.”

Nollywood star, Saheed Balogun explained that “We are just here to enlighten people and explaining things to them clearly on what Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is doing to reform the country. Myself and my colleagues are here to say baba is doing well.

“We urge people to be patient with Asiwaju, he will make things happen, he is trying to fix what has been spoil over 30 years, he can not fix it in 30 days. So people should know what he is doing and the need to support him.”
